Terms of Service

1. Application

These Terms apply to all relations between us and users regarding use of the Service.

2. The Service

The Service is a Japanese-learning app for foreign residents. It provides AI-based grading and feedback, spaced-repetition review, and learning aids such as rankings and quests. AI grading and feedback are for reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for registering with accurate information and for safeguarding your authentication credentials. We are not liable for damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Prohibited conduct

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Interfering with the operation of the Service, or unauthorized access
• Infringing the rights of other users or third parties
• Reproducing or redistributing the Service’s content without permission

5. User content

You retain rights to the content you input or record (compositions, audio, tutor messages, etc.). You grant us a license to use this content as necessary to provide grading and feedback and to improve the Service.

6. Subscriptions and billing

The Service offers a free plan and a paid Premium plan. The Premium plan is an auto-renewing subscription billed monthly or yearly.

• Purchases in the iOS app are made through Apple’s App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel on iOS via your Apple ID subscription settings, or on the web via your account settings.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when the trial ends.
• Refunds are governed by the terms and policies of the platform where you purchased (Apple / Stripe).
• Prices may change with prior notice.

7. Intellectual property

Intellectual property rights in the Service and its content belong to us or the rightful owners. Third-party materials are used under the credits shown within the Service.

8. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that the Service will produce any particular learning outcome. The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damage incurred by users in connection with use of the Service.

10. Suspension and termination

If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or delete your account without prior notice.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of 日本, and any dispute regarding the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our location.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms as needed. If there are material changes, we will notify you within the Service.
